Accessing the PFSense SG2440 Firewall from the Console Port

PFSense Authorized Partner LogoWe recently had a customer site where our PFSense SG2440 firewall and edge device was damaged by ESD / Lightening.  There wasn't a direct hit and the radio and other equipment continue to work however the two of the four ethernet ports on the SG2440 appliance were damaged.

Because the Lan port is no longer responsive, the web administration page is also not accessable to make changes or really, perform at all.

I will show you how to connect to the SG2440 appliance with the console port and reconfigure the ethernet ports so the LAN and WAN use the other two working ports.  On the SG2440, these ports are labelled OPT1 and OPT2
