Nortel Phone Systems were prolific 20 years ago. Here in Alberta practically all offices used them. They're still very common and today people want cordless phone options.
Here are three ways to go cordless with your old Nortel phone system.
1) Use the Nortel cordless phone designed for the system. This is the T7406. We don't recommend this option as it has bad review. People that use this phone, don't like it. Primarily because wireless technology has changed in the last 20 years an this is old technology with bad reception and poor battery life.
2) Use a Nortel ATA with a current generation Analog cordless phone. The standard analog cordless phone can be bought at Staples, Bestbuy or any other store. All cordless phones now use DECT 6.0 technology which is wireless and gives good range and better battery life.
3) Use a Plantronics or Jabra headset with your Nortel desk phone. There is a headset jack on the back of your Nortel phone. Simply plug in a commercial headset and handset lifter into your current Nortel desk phone and enjoy hands free working.
